Marauders over Normandy

"Marauders supported Allied ground forces in the battle for Normandy", reads the communique. And here you see two Marauder medium bombers of the Ninth Air Force leaving a road and rail junction behind the German lines battered by bomb bursts. Movement of Rommel's re-inforcements to the battle fronts was arrested by attacks like this by the Ninth's medium and light bombers.
