Brown, Tulsa, Okla., Commanding Officer of a North American P-51 Mustang fighter squadron of the Mediterranean Allied Air Forces in Italy, is shown here pointing to the 13 swastikas on his plane which represent the destruction of 13 Nazi planes, shot down in the course of 32 combat missions flown in Mustangs, and 17 missions flown in Spitfires. 307th Fighter Squadron, 31st Fighter Group.
