Mail delivery on Okinawa
OKINAWA R.F.D. — Mail clerk Cpl. Jack Sprung, 1587 East 19th St., Brooklyn, N.Y., of an AAF cub plane liaison squadron on Okinawa, gives R.F.D. mail service to outposted squadron members as he delivers "sugar reports" from home. Thick muddy roads make this Oki horse the best transportation. Receiving letters at their improvised rock and canvas shelter are S/Sgt. Calvin I. Readinger, 47 North 4th St., Reading, Pa., operations clerk, left; and Pfc. Orland P. Adams, Palestine, Ark., medical corpsman, right.
