Lt Richey checks P-47 in Germany

GERMANY - In a last minute check-up, Lt. Merle D. Richey, Dayton, Ohio and Rockway Park, N. J., and a ground crewman examine the wing shackle to make sure the bomb is fastened securely. A veteran of 46 Combat missions, Lt. Richey destroyed more than 200 motor vehicles during the week of March 14-21, 1945.
