Lt Moore in Normandy

Lt. Herbert H. Moore, Jr., engineer with the Ninth Air Force is pictured on a captured German horse at an advanced landing field in Normandy. The Lt., who landed with advanced forces in France, paced off the field under enemy fire. The British fighter plane shown is being serviced by Ninth Service Command soldiers who followed the liberating troops inland.
