Lt Fisher at 2nd Evacuation Hospital

1st Lt. Jack C. Fisher, Jr., a bombardier with the 323rd Bomb Squadron, 91st Bomb Group, is visited by Col. Grow, 8th Air Force surgeon, at the 2nd Evacuation Hospital at Diddington, England. Lt. Fisher was badly wounded during a mission by cannon fire but his life was saved by the protective body armour he was wearing which was developed by Col. Grow. 5 June 1943.
