Lt Col Wallace Hopkins in England

ENGLAND - Lt. Col. Wallace E. Hopkins of Washington, Ga., poses on the wing of his North American P-51 Mustang fighter "FEROCIOUS FRANKIE" named for his wife, Mrs. Frankie L. Hopkins. The 25 year old 8th AF Fighter Command Pilot and acting air executive of his group has knocked down four Nazi aircraft in aerial combat and destroyed as many more on the ground during a single airdrome strafing mission. He holds the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters.
