1st Lt. John W. Berry of Bowling Green, Ohio, a Martin B-26 pilot, is a transferee from the Royal Air Force. Because of his size, Lt. Berry needs three cushions behind him and two underneath to prop himself up behind the controls of his plane. Here he is shown at his position just before take off on a mission from his base at Essex, England. 24 November 1943.
