Lolo Tribesmen In China

LOLO TRIBESMEN GUIDED SEARCHERS WHO INVESTIGATED RUMORS OF "ENSLAVED AIRMEN" IN WILDS OF CHINA. Friendly but cold-faced Lolo tribesmen cooperated with United States Air Force personnel and Army Graves Registration Service teams in a two-year search in the wilds of western Szechwan province in China for the reportedly "enslaved" survivors of a Boeing B-29 "Superfortress". The search was abandoned and the case marked "closed" when investigators were convinced that no fliers were ever held by the Lolos. Air Force planes dropped food and equipment to Army's ground search teams pushing into the hidden valleys of Lololand, and leaflets were scattered throughout the mountainous territory offering rewards for information about the "missing airmen". All rumors about "enslaved fliers" proved to be false.
