EIGHTH AAF SERVICE COMMAND STATION - A Lockheed Lightning, newest addition to the Eighth Air Force sky fleet over Europe, is shown receiving the latest modification from Eighth AAF Service Command technicians "Somewhere in England." One of the most versatile planes in the AAF, it power-dived at better than 700 miles an hour in England last summer.
