Liberators over Paramushiru Island

A flight of 11th Air force Liberators approach Paramushiru Island, heavily bombed Japanese North Pacific Island garrison. One of the first targets seen by the approaching bombers is the Suribachi Bay airdrome, on the coastline in the center.
