Just arrived from the States, these Boeing B-17 Flying Fortresses of the 8th AF are spaced in a field in England, soon to undergo inspection and modification at a huge air depot, in order that the crews who will soon take them into combat over Germany may have the benefit of specialized equipment developed for the European air war.
