Junkers 88 near Brunswick
This Junkers 88, the German long-range bomber, was among the planes found by the Allied Armies at an airfield near Brunswick, Germany. Tipped forward on its nose, most of the plane's integral fuselage parts were burned out by the retreating Germans. An insufficient amount of fuel, caused by repeated bombings on German oil production, made it impossible to put their planes in the air.
