JU 88 shot down over Algiers

Algiers, Algeria - Twisted remains of a German JU 88 that was shot down over Algiers on the night of 26 March 1942. A medium bomber, it carried a crew of four. The plane and three of the crew were fished out of the harbor. Body of the fourth member was found in an apartment house. His parachute had failed to open and he crashed through the roof.
