SO LONG SALLY - This generously-camouflaged Jap Sally plane went up in smoke a few seconds after this photo was taken - destroyed by the parafrag bombs which are seen just before they hit. This is the work of the U.S. Army 5th Air Force during a low-level bombing and strafing attack on Old Namlea Air-drome, Boeroe Island. Note other bombs in background.
