Japanese airfield in Shantung Peninsula

Dropping in unexpectedly on a Jap airfield in the Shantung Peninsula, a pilot of the "Great Flying Wall of China" Squadron in the 14th AF brought home this picture of a kill made at Tsingtao. Of over a 100 planes caught on the ground, 45 were destroyed and 55 were damaged. Besides the planes, the pilots of the "Great Flying Wall of China" Squadron in the 51st Fighter Group made sure that a locomotive and a 150foot tanker would never more be of service to the Japs.
