Jack Benny in Middle East
Jack Benny, American star of stage, screen and radio; Major General Lewis H. Brereton, Commanding General U.S. Air Forces in the Middle East, Mr. Alexander Kirk, United States ambassador to Egypt. The occasion was a party for American soldier convalescents held in the "Auberge des Pyramids" Club located on the Pyramids road just outside of Cairo, Egypt. Mr. Benny entertained the wounded and injured Yanks as a part of his tour of American army establishments in this theatre of operations. The party was sponsored by Farouk, King of Egypt.
