Many Jap radars in the SWPA have been discovered by careful study of aerial photographs. It is noteworthy that during one week a photo interpreter discovered four of these installations, all in widely separated areas. The radar here shown, located on the terrace above Manokwari Town, Dutch New Guinea, is apparently inoperative and may be used for testing. The adjacent buildings are worthy targets as they probably contain radar equipment.
