Interpreter at light table
Before any prints are made, an interpreter studies the negative over a light table, and selects the prints which will give him the best information on matters of immediate interest. First phase of interpretation might be made either from a short or long study of prints, or might be made from study of the negative, this is dependent on the urgency of the need for information. The men are, left to right: Squadron Leader Watson, Flight Lt. Herchil, and Flight Lt. Thompson. NORTH AFRICA, 12th Combat Camera Unit.
