Hot water in France

One method of solving a problem confronting most American soldiers on the western front. With plumbing facilities non-existent in the field, the Chemical Warfare section of a 9th Air Force Service Command unit in France rigged up this hot water shower system. A decontaminator, normally intended for decontaminating men and equipment exposed to gas, is deployed into a meadow. When a sufficient number of soldiers have gathered about the truck, an operator sprays them with hot water, kept at an even temperature by gasoline heating devices.
