"Hit Parade" got hit

"Hit Parade" got hit. This Flying Fortress of the 8th AAF Bomber Command had completed five missions and had come through unscathed, but on the sixth it suffered battle damage. As soon as the Fort had been parked a crew was swarming over it to repair the damage. In spite of the rain that was pouring down, they have backed their derrick in to lift the wing free. This crew works rapidly and efficiently and with the advent of fair weather they will have the "Hit Parade" ready to carry her lethal load over enemy territory.
