Here are the 12 of the 20 men that were carried by each of the B-24

Here are twelve of the twenty men that were carried by each of the B-24 Liberators of the U. S. 8th Air Force, 2nd Air Division, that flew home to America. The other eight men aboard are evenly distributed about the plane - pilot and co-pilot in their seats, some in the bombardier's nose, the navigators compartment, the radio room and the tail. Cramped and uncomfortable as some of the places were, the men were glad of spending a day cramped up to get home all that much sooner.
