Glider Reclamation — Two weeks time was all that the 82nd Service Group, 9th Troop Carrier Command engineers required to place 60% of the 1300 gliders in flyable condition after the Rees-Wesel airborne invasion. Aerial view shows some of the reclaimed gliders at a field somewhere in Germany. Note: Huge motor fuel convoy in foreground. 1 April 1945.
