GIs unloading tufa stone

Tufa stone being unloaded by GI's building their own villas to avoid living in tents. In order to have the truck for a trip to the quarry the GI's must enter their name on a list at their orderly rooms, and when the truck is free they are allowed to use it. It takes about 450 of these blocks to build a three room house, at one to seven cents per block. Floor and roof tiling cost the GI's about four cents per tile.
