GI's in Italy

In one of the villas built by GI's at a 15th Air Base in Italy, are left to right: T/Sgt Jay E. Coder, From Racine, Wisc., radar observer on a Consolidated B-24; Cpl Jack E. Sheehan, Seattle, Wash., radio mechanic; and Sgt Abraham Rheingold, Jamaica, L.I., N.Y. The radio near the clothes rack was built by Sgt Coder from salvaged parts, and broadcasts to eight other neighboring GI villas, which rigged up loud speakers out of cigar boxes.
