Gi Radio Station In Southern Italy

"The Voice of the Cottontails" is a GI built radio station, which was housed in an old Italian storehouse at a base in Southern Italy. They cemented the floors and walls of the building and soundproofed the place with sand, grass and blankets. Inside, they had two complete studios with a transmitter built from two old ones that had been turned in for salvage and rebuilt amplifiers, wires, plugs and microphones from wrecked planes.
