G. I. INGENUITY TAKES STRANGE TWISTS -- G. I. gadgets have saved many hours and made tedious tasks easier. Shown is a device separating the two halves of a propeller hub, held by T/Sgt. William E. Dieck of Sunbury, Pa., while S/Sgt. Arthur J. Monheim of Ottawa, Ill., a co-designer looks on. Before, the hub had to be separated by steel wedges which crashed and chipped the edges. This device exerts steady, even pressure. Europe, 1944.
