German transport smashed at airbase

Smashed and reared-up, almost humorously, by American expert bombing, this German transport is through. So are the Nazis at this airbase. The field has been virtually cleared of all aircraft. Note the upheaval and the mounds of earth rimming the bomb craters. Believe it or not, the same airbase, several months later. A scene of activity and production. American engineering officers and groundcrews are busy carrying the war to the Germans. It is the production and repair line at an advanced airbase of the 15th AF Service Command.
