German shacks near Bologna

This group of tumbled down shacks was occupied by German troops opposing the U.S. 5th Army at Prospero, southwest of Bologna, Italy. The strongpoint was wiped out by Republic P-47 Thunderbolts of a fighter group in the air campaign that worked simultaneously with the Allied Armies' drive northward.
