German Army Fleeing In Italy

A fleeing German Army rushes madly northward as Allied Armies in Italy give chase. This convoy of vehicles, tanks and horse drawn carts had just forded the Tresinaro River at Cadi Caroli, between Modena and Reggio, when a flight of Republic P-47 Thunderbolts piloted by 12th A.F. Brazilian Airmen attacked. Reports said two tanks were probably damaged, two busses destroyed, two trucks destroyed and one unidentified vehicle was burned. The carts are loaded with supplies, photo interpreters report. 23 April 1945.
