German Ammunition Dump Hit

Like a young volcano erupting from earth, a German ammunition dump billows into the sky in a magnificent tower of debris, dust and smoke as the result of an attack by Republic P-47 Thunderbolts. Hit with bombs by the first Brazilian Fighter Squadron, this enemy installation near Fenili was destroyed in 12th Air Force drive against supply and communication facilities in Nazi-held portions of Italy. 9 March 1945.
