ONE REASON FOR THE WEHRMACHT'S GAS SHORTAGE. This mass of junk was once a busy section of the Compagnie Industrialls Maritime, huge gasoline and oil depot at Gennevilliers in the outskirts of Paris, through which Frenchmen said, the Germans moved approximately 750 tons of gasoline a day to the Normandy front before it was put out of commission by the U.S. Army 8th Air Force on June 22, 1944.
