Fuel tanks in Normandy

"Somewhere in France" -- These five-gallon fuel tanks, hastily camouflaged with foliage from nearby trees are part of the 9th Air Force Service Command supply dump in Normandy. The dump, set up within 24 hours of D-Day, will supply aviation gas, cartridges, cannon shells and small bombs to planes landing at the new French air fields.
