French Collaborator Home In Cherbroug Peninsula

1944-07-19

The former home of a French collaborator with the Nazis. Being a contractor he managed to find enough material to build and furnished a home for the Germans in the Cherbourg Peninsula. On D-Day the collaborator's home was untouched by shell fire which made an important find for Lt. General Louis H. Brereton and Major General Ralph Royce of the 9th Air Force. Les Bains, France. 19 July 1944.
