French Air Corps in Lourdes
At the head of a procession, French Air Corps men, carrying flowers, marched through the streets of Lourdes, France. Airmen from Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, France, Italy, England, the Netherlands and the United States took part in joint three day ceremonies honoring flyers killed during World War II. Lourdes, a town of 9,000 population, is located at the foot of the Pyrennes Mountains. It has attracted pilgrims from all over the world since 1858.
