Flying Nurses in China
The "Flying Nurses" who will serve with Maj. General C. L. Chennault's 14th AAF have arrived in China. On flying status, the comely young ladies will serve on the aircraft that evacuate the wounded from the forward areas. Other American women are serving in the U. S. Army in China, but these are the first American girls to arrive who are actually members of our forces. Six of the girls will remain in China, while their leader, Lt. Rogers, will return to India. Col. Tom Gentry, ex-AVC, present flight surgeon of the 14th AAF, and Chinese nurses on duty at the American Army Hospital greet the first American nurses to arrive in China.
