Flying nurse aboard 9th AF Troop Carrier

Lt. Lucille V. Tarney and T/Sgt. Marshal Morley make up one of the teams aboard each Troop Carrier transport used by air evacuation units of the 9th AF. The flying nurse and her aide cares for soldier patients who are flown from advanced areas to general hospitals several hundred miles distant. Prior to entering the Air Corps., Lt. Tarney was an airline stewardess with over 3,000 hours of flying to her credit; Sgt. Morley lives in Nashota, Wisc. Lt. Tarney's home is at Hinsdale, N.H.
