Flying Forts over Germany

Designs in the sky: A sudden change of course by Flying Forts of the 8th AAF during an actual operation over Germany recently gave a strange twist to the vapor trails streaming from the aircraft. More important, of course, is not the obvious design - V for victory, but rather the design at the constant hammering of German targets from the air preparatory to the final blow. Diverging Forts are seen at the Apex of the trails.
