Fliers In China's Lololand

SEARCHERS DISPROVE RUMORS ABOUT "ENSLAVED FLIERS" IN CHINA'S HIDDEN LOLOLAND. A two-year investigation by United States Air Force personnel and Army Graves Registration Service search teams in China's remote western Szechwan province disproved vague rumors that the crew of a crashed Boeing B-29 "Superfortress" had been held captive by Lolo tribesmen. Although none of the rumors were ever verified, Air Force and Army Searchers worked for months in the wild interior of Lololand checking all reports to determine that no lost Americans were in the hands of the Lolo. Air Force planes dropped food to friendly Lolo and leaflets were scattered throughout the mountainous territory offering rewards for information about the "enslaved fliers". On the outskirts of the hidden valleys of Lololand an Air Force radio station was established to maintain communications between the searchers and the outside world. Ground teams of the Army's Graves Registration Service pushed for miles into the unexplored wilds of Lololand to disprove all rumors that American fliers were being held by the inhabitants of one of the world's lonliest areas.
