A field coil pole-shoe expander devised and constructed by T/Sgt. James W. Turner of East Point, Ga., and S/Sgt. Levere M. Holmes of Ogden, Utah, enables soldier-technicians at an Air Service Command depot in England, to install new field coils in repaired airplane starter motors at eight times the rate formerly possible.
