Early in the evening preceding the opening assault, armoring crews begin their work of loading great armadas of American heavy bombers. Bombs must be hauled out of their racks in bomb dumps and bomb dispersal areas, placed on racks and pulled in a long trail of trucks out to dispersed aircraft. Here thousands of tons of bombs are rolled carefully from the bomb dumps to truck rack which will carry them to waiting bombers. Sur Pub. Relations JAN 13 1945
