Doolittle at 8th OAF bond drive

Queing up at the Victory Squadron bond booth Commanding General of the 8th AAF, Lt. Gen. James H. Doolittle inaugurated the bond drive which aims to raise $6,000,000.00 for pur-pose of purchasing a squadron of combat planes. "It will be a great pleasure", the Commanding General said, "I'M happy to start the ball rolling by making my own personal pledge", as he completed transaction with Cpl. Margaret C. Blake, 22, of Philadelphia, Pa., in the booth. The ceremonies were being broadcast by AAF Network as is seen by hand holding mike in front of Gen. Doolittle.
