Direct Hits Are Visible Upon at Least 42 Aircraft of Which 17

Direct hits are visible upon at least 42 aircraft of which 17 are transports and 3 are Me-323's. 6, probably more aircraft caught fire immediately. Dispersed aircraft are well covered by bomb bursts. Two large fires probably fuel stores on the perimeter track at the N.E. and S.W. corners burn fiercely. Hits are visible among personnel huts and the S.W. corner and workshops near the S.E. corner.
