Decoy Ju-88s at Epinay

Two American officers look over a field of decoy JU-88s, dummy planes used as "bait" on a former Nazi airport at Epinay, France. These "prop" planes were parked on a section of the field where bombs dropped by Allied bombers would do the smallest amount of damage. Apparently the ruse failed as the decoy planes were intact and had attracted no bombs. 2 September 1944.
