Cpl. Eldon E. Haek, 333 States Street, Sedro Woolley, Washington, a painter for the 18th Fighter Squadron, 318th Fighter Group, sprays new black and yellow tail identification colors on the planes of his squadron. The new color scheme, being adopted throughout the 318th Fighter Group, is to meet a difficulty new to the veteran fighter group. For the first time, it must have markings which makes its planes easy to distinguish from planes of other Republic P-47 fighter groups. Holding the masking tape for the new paint job is Sgt.
