Combat cameramen in England

ENGLAND - Maj. Charles S. Welbourne (left) and Maj. Wm. H. Clothier, combat cameramen, discuss a close call after returning to their base somewhere in England after a flight over occupied Europe. Both have been on eleven combat missions. Maj. Clothier has made his missions over Germany, France and other occupied countries of Europe while Maj. Welbourne has flown over 100,000 miles in the past year going on missions over Rangoon from China; Burma from India; Italy from Africa and France from England. This is his third time overseas, carries a 35 foot short snorter. Maj. Clothier was formerly with RKO and Paramount while Maj. Welbourne was with Warner Brothers.
