Cleaning the barrel of one of the four.50 cal guns arming the 8th AAF P-51 Mustang fighter is Cpl. Robert P. Stauffer of Dayton, Ohio. Cpl. Stauffer, an armorer, worked in Dayton plant of the Frigidaire division as a tool grinder helping to turn out the same type of.50 cal machine guns for aircraft. He is armorer for "Daisy May III"; the pilot, Capt. Robert E. Sadman of Wheatland, Wyo., is credited with four enemy aircraft kills, 3 of which were in aerial combat and one on the ground.
