Capt Harvell on D-Day

"The Camera is the eye of the mission". And to see that the "eye" is in good working order Capt. Ursal P. Harvell, 522 So. 4th St., Fulton, N. Y., rides along on D-Day. Capt. Harvell is Photographic Officer for one of the veteran Consolidated B-24 Liberator groups which is now commanded by Col. John H. Gibson of Hinsdale, Ill. This photograph was taken while the Liberator was high over France, shortly before reaching the target, in the initial wave of heavy bombers preparing the way for ground forces.
