Capt Boillot returns to field

Capt. Raymond Boillot, colorful executive officer of a French Group of the First Tactical AF has returned to the same field from which he took off in 1940 when France was overrun by the Nazis. Since then he has flown with the RAF in Africa and Italy. Now he flies an American-made Republic P-47 Thunderbolt. He is pictured here with a Spitfire which he flew in from the Mediterranean theatre of operations.
