C-54 Skymaster at Yonta Airstrip

A C-54 "Douglas Skymaster" comes in from Guam on Yontan Airstrip, after a six hour flight. These planes of the NATS (Naval Air Transport Service) carried high priority personnel, medical equipment and supplies. On the return trip to Guam they carried wounded patients. Okinawa, Ryukyu Retto, 10 July 1945.
